You laughed as you threw your body forward,
I noticed the lines on your eyes,
You had streaks of meteor shower painted onto your face.
And your had a smile that was hooked unto my every cold memories,
You radiated warmth unto every frozen corner of my heart,
And just for an instant,
Every twilight seemed to illuminate onto you,
As though every breath of your laughter broke the winter night,
And I knew I was dazed in your smile.
The echoes of your voice somehow resonated into the memories we had in the hot summer night,
When we silently watched the fireworks blasted off to palettes of rainbow on the twinkling night sky,
And as the gentle breeze caressed your wavy hair,
It blew in your lavender shampoo fragrance,
At that very moment,
I thought you were the most beautiful woman I had ever seen,
And I wanted to grow up to be just like you.
I always knew whenever I was sick,
You'll brew the best chicken soup ever.
I would slurp down every bit of the chicken soup,
As you exhaled your worries so endearing.
You never noticed the scorching pain on your wrist where you burnt yourself,
Or how your hands were always covered with constellations of wounds and scars,
As though you had a galaxy of bitter past seared unto your skin.
You never realised how I looked at you as though you were the delicate whimsical flower,
Bright and cheerful,
Yet deep down in the roots beneath layers of rocks and sand,
There were always secrets you buried,
Always the fragility that made you broke down at night.
I knew every bleeding wound on your bruised heart,
Every excruciating pain on your mind that reminded you of every mistake you made,
And you should know that I could give up my universe,
Just to see your gentle crescent smile again.

Literature
daughters
my 5 year old daughter only wants to run
through the park, loping beside our wolf-puppy,
both lean & fierce, joyful
as she tosses her hair back
& suddenly I see my body
in hers, tireless & certain,
despite my pounding heart
& damaged limbs, I run&run&
then she gives for a moment,
tumbled full-length in the grass,
feeding the puppy from her cupped hands,
& demanding, scratch my back too!
then down her sides & over the ripples
of her ribcage, her leaping heart
& tummy, still baby-soft,
until the shadows reach us & I
must give her back, inch by inch,
a long, twirling hug
my mother will echo with sad arms,
murmuring, you look really good,

My Mommy
My mommy is the prettiest lady I ever seen
she has brown hair, blue eyes and a smile
My mommy wears her favorite colors
and she lets me wear the pinkest dresses
I did her makeup once and we were models for a day
she tells me bedtime stories about the lady who losses her slipper
or the girl who falls in love with a frog
When I see mommy on the weekends
she gives me the biggest hugs and yucky kisses
mommy asks me about my week
but I thought she already knows
because I heard mommy's are always around
Sometimes when she's not with me
I can hear her in the other room crying
telling herself why did it happened to her
when I ask daddy, he says

A little scribble I wrote for my mum. She's so beautiful that I couldn't even begin to describe it.
Thank you for reading it though, have a lovely day.
